Welcome to Investing Basics
. Since you've found your way here, chances are you've got some money put away and prepare to invest in something. Whatever the reason it may be, it is good that you begun your investment journey by doing some research and studies first. So, why is investing a smart idea?
Most people want to invest in order to create wealth. It is relatively painless, and the rewards are plentiful, if you do your homework right, that is. By investing well in the stock market, you will be able to create passive income from your extra funds or savings. That will lead to a more comfortable and enjoyable live, especially when you are able to reach financial freedom through income generated by your investment.
Today, there are many good articles and sites in the Internet that discuss the various aspects of investing. We will point you to those content wherever applicable, and highlight the key points that are most important to investors in general. Specifically, we will also highlight the key information that is most relevant to you as a stock investor. Where do you go from here?
| ||Know your goals |
| || What are you saving for? A new house? A luxury car? Kids education? Retirement? |
It is important to set your goals so that you know your time horizon
or how long you need to save or invest (assuming a specific return rate). Here is the 3 key advice that will work you:
Let the Power of Compound Interest do the magic to grow your investment.
- Start early
- Make regular investment
- Be patient
| ||Monitor and improve |
| || Once you've make your first purchase, set a target price on when to exit (sell) your stock, whether its a gain or loss. Record all your transactions in an Online Portfolio to monitor its performance. |
You should continue to keep yourself updated with the company performance and growth, as well as market condition in general, as those will impact the price direction of your stocks. If you chose to adopt the Buy and Hold
investment strategy, you should ignore the noise and the short term volatility of the market,
and focus on the long term growth of the companies you invested in.
Whichever strategy you chose, do stick to it for a while, continue to read, and treat every transaction as a learning experience.

irfankamalik Topglove-CZ warrant is a REALLY GOOD buy. Very good warrant for buying in large amount as the price is only 28 cents now. All of topglove warrants have never failed to shoot up to 80 cents. Good warrant to keep. Will definitely shoot up to 50 cents in a month or two. Topglov is doing very good now coz rubber price down mah and their orders from japan and us keep on increasing.

mrBEARmrsBULL dato & datin,
Can u all plse share how to invest warrant blog&forum link to me pls? I plan to invest in warrant and would like to learn more
Not a Dato or Datin, but here's some info about Warrant.
Understand that warrant is a high risk high return tool.
Use it right, you can make some great gains. Use it wrong, it's a weapon of mass wealth destruction.
To invest in warrant, what recommended are: 1. the company of your choice must have solid fundamentals - must pass most of FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS METRICS, 2. Must not be too close to expiry, 3. Premium must not be too high, 4. Understand the gearing - risk vs reward ratio.
YOU MUST TAKE CARE OF ALL DOWNSIDE FIRST BEFORE THINKING OF MAKING GAINS, OTHERWISE WARRANT CAN DESTROY YOUR WEALTH.
If you are still unsure on how warrant works after reading the article, you can try learn from KCChongnz in i3investor. Just search for his name, he has an article about it if i recalled.
mrBEARmrsBULL THank you good Samaritan @Ezra_Investor
may i check with u pls?
Type: CALL WARRANTS
Listing Date: Jan 15, 2016
Maturity Date: Oct 31, 2016
Issue Size: 50,000,000
Exercise Price: MYR 2.77
Ratio: 2 : 1
Underlying Stock: POS
Avg Volume (4 weeks): 526,450
4 Weeks Range: 0.02 - 0.185
52 Weeks Range: 0.02 - 0.185
1)for this warrant, Exercise Price: MYR 2.77 Ratio: 2 : 1 means wat ?
2) if unlucky need to exercise the warrant, 1 share need to pay how much including all the charges?
Ezra Call Warrant (C) and Put Warrant (H) works differently than normal Warrant (W). I do not recommend Call and Put as they are more suitable for trading and not for investing. Please read the link above for detailed explanation.
Exercise price means the money you need to add-on to exercise to mother share. Eg. current call warrant price is 0.02, you will need to add 2.77 to exercise to become mother share.
As I'm not well versed in call/put warrant, I'm not too sure about ratio 2:1. But in normal warrant, ratio 1:1 means 1 warrant can be exercised to 1 mother share. Better consult your brokerage for more information and clarification.
