Outcome

(Unless otherwise defined, defined terms used in this announcement shall carry the same meaning as those defined in the announcement dated 13 April 2018 in relation to the Proposed SCR).

We refer to the announcements dated 16 March 2018, 13 April 2018, 17 April 2018, 17 May 2018 and 18 May 2018 in relation to the Proposed SCR.

On behalf of the Board, Alliance Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that the special resolution as set out in the Notice of EGM dated 18 May 2018 ("Special Resolution") was duly passed by the Entitled Shareholders of the Company (save for Magnum Berhad which is a PAC) at the EGM held on 11 June 2018.

The Special Resolution:-

1. is to be approved by a majority in number of the disinterested shareholders and 75% in value to the votes attached to MWE Shares held by the disinterested shareholders that are cast either in person or by proxy at the EGM; and

2. mustnot be voted against by more than 10% of the votes attaching to all disinterested shares of the total voting shares of MWE.

The results of the poll at the EGM, which were validated by Messrs Corporate Streets Sdn Bhd, the Independent Scrutineer appointed by the Company, are as follows:-

None of the shareholdersthat were cast either in person or by proxy at the EGM votedagainst the Special Resolution. Therefore, the Special Resolution was carried.

The application to the High Court to seek confirmation for the reduction of share capital under Section 116 of the Act will be lodged in due course.

So if the share hit RM 1.75 it is easier to cash out than wait for the SCR payment?? which may take time..or is there any missing point here??
