KUALA LUMPUR, May 15 (Bernama) - Fujifilm Malaysia today launched its first square-format analogue instax camera, the Square SQ6, to meet the growing demand for square-format films in the local and international markets.

Managing Director Yoshitaka Nakamura said Malaysia was the only country to launch the instax Square SQ6 simultaneously with Japan.

"We hope the launch of the SQ6 will help boost sales of Fujifilm's instax series and encourage Malaysians to discover how enjoyable instant photography is.

"We strongly believe that this segment will continue to grow and thrive to meet the growing market demand while offering users a fun and unique way to express their creativity via prints," he said at the launching ceremony here today.

With the SQ6, Fujifilm aims to achieve sales of nine million instax cameras globally this year, four times higher than the number of units sold in 2017.

The SQ6 is now available at Fujifilm and dealers' retail shops with an early bird package of RM598, inclusive of the Goods and Services Tax.
