In my personal opinion, PH government will invite Jack Ma, the specialist online payment system to replace MYEG system. I never doubt the rumors of raiding of MYEG office due to its closely associated with the previous BN government! Don't forget the speculation of zahid and rosmah were closely associated with MYEG Wong. It's a huge risk to buy it's shares now! What make matter worst was Wong told in the interview that TUN was invited for perbuka puasa, but Tun did not attend!

KUALA LUMPUR (May 25): My EG Services Bhd (MyEG) has clarified that neither the company nor any of its directors was the subject of any investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

"The board reiterates that the company is not the subject of any investigation whatsoever, past or present, being carried out by MACC on it or on any of its directors," MyEG said in a strongly-worded statement, which was filed with Bursa Malaysia today.

"The board of directors wishes to clarify that all information in the article pertaining to rumours of alleged action being taken by MACC are completely baseless and fictitious," added MyEG, a technology solutions company specialising in providing electronic government services.

According to MyEG, its board of directors takes a serious view of anyone the spreading of erroneous rumours and will not hesitate to take further action such as lodging a report with the Royal Malaysian Police.

"Any material developments pertaining to the company or its board have been and will continue to be disclosed in a timely manner through official proper channels," it added.

In this respect, MyEG said the public is advised to disregard any information about the company or its board that are unverified and not released through the proper channels.

MyEG referred to an article by theedgemarkets.com, and provided an additional clarification on the alleged office raid by MACC, a graft-buster agency.

Citing a report by UOB Kay Hian Securities (M) Sdn Bhd, the article stated that MyEG had been suffering from intense selling pressure as a result of rumours that MACC had raided its head office, while the entire board of directors have been arrested.

The article added that UOB Kay Hian had in the report said the rumours were untrue.

"Based on our channel checks with management, the rumour was baseless and untrue. They have also guided that all operations are 'business as usual'," UOB Kay Hian analyst Vincent Khoo wrote, adding that the allegations hurled at MyEG were "malicious" and "baseless".

MyEG shares dropped 3 sen or 3.77% to close at 76.5 sen, for a market capitalisation of RM2.76 billion.

myeg has so much money to buyback its share, but no money to give as dividend in the past, not very good management. even though they buyback the share, they do not buyback at a good price so that they can return the capital back to shareholder at good price. only wanna buy cheap cheap, conman counter.

“From now on, any buying of number plates must go through JPJ, without exceptions. This is Government revenue and we intend to collect all of it,” he said

key phrase: ALL OF IT

Which makes perfect sense. With the huge debt on their shoulder, every bit of savings matters. And I don't think they are double standards in applying that.

This situation is very similar to what AirAsia went through in late August and September, 2015 and beyond. Back then TF & KM had under 19% of AA's shares pledged for $800m for their debt facility and the value of the shares dropped below $400m at the trough of the ordeal. A foreign fund, Wellington Group, used to own about 14% of AA's shares or approx 390m then. EPF had about 9%, if I remember correctly. Both Wellington and EPF were selling relentlessly like it was all over for AA. Wellington cleared out completely and EPF went off radar below 5%. AA hit 76.5c but thrived on and the major owners struggled to survive in the ugly face of oblivion but survived they did. Today, the proud colours of Malaysia's famous brand of AirAsia flies high amongst the most successful airlines of the world.

I am willing to bet on WTS finding his way out of the woods because MYEG is an excellent company with a bright future.

you're right. I'm still holding on to my AA shares i collected then. don't plan to sell them for many years since i collected cheap.

MyEG is on super sale now. Just don't know where's the bottom.

Air Asia is formidable business model, national interest...raison d'État, highly regulated, not easy to replicate, high barriers to entry industry. Back then the allegation was AA accounting practices.

Myeg 100% depending on govt contracts/services/approval...MERCY. A low tech biz model...any company can do. Competition will cause margin erosion.

every body said new government will not consider myeg, suddenly they got vehicles number jobs. monday might gap up. new government dont want to spend on their own system as it need huge capex and expertise. why not using already established system which ro be proven good. win win this time. jpj also got so many vacancies after spad staf being absorbed. they need reliable third party to sort out the system for them. myeg is the best

As long as the contract price is right and fair to the rakyat, there is no reason why the government should discontinue its services.

Good write up in the Star today on MYEG.

Local funds sold this counter post GE.

The contracts are short term (5 years or so) and fear that these might not be renewed.

Too closely connected with the previous government.

Another risk is the present government favours open tender system and this may mean newcomers taking some of the existing contracts away from MYEG.

Given the uncertainty, you can speculate, if you must.

look at their profit margin that over 50% !!!! any sane government would have kick them out and do it your own. MYEG is harvesting 50% profit from the rakyat.
