NOTICED YOUR OBSERVATION ON ITS FULL YEAR PROFITS REPORT
HENCE WENT TO CHECK ON ITS P&L AC AS REPORTED YESTERDAY AND FOUND THAT ITS PROFITS HAD BEEN INFLATED BY 2 EXCEPTIONAL ITEMS TOTALLING RM78.2M.
(RE :- “ A9. Profit Before Taxation The following amounts have been included in arriving at profit before taxation:
Gain on disposal of fixed assets 34,811
Write back of provision for cost to complete 43,390 “ )

DOES IT MEAN THAT WITHOUT THESE 2 EXCEPTIONAL INCOMES L&G WOULD HAD ACTUALLY INCURRED A TRADING LOSS FOR THE YEAR? (DUE TO WEAK PROPERTY MARKET)

Janet is correct.

At the moment L&G is an Asset Play.

3 ways to increase Value.

1. Build more affordable condos as market can still absorb condos of rm300,000 to Rm400,000 price range in good locations

2. Revalue all undervalue assets and book them as profits...This was done by fiamma, eg and seacera. Of course this will not add real value.

3. Dispose more Assets for Cash to unlock value. Example is the 3,000 acres land near Proton City.

Since L&G INSIDERS COST IS 21 SEN AND ABOVE PLUS YEARLY DIVIDEND OF 8% TO 9% L&G share price should have some support.

TQ Janet for taking the efforts to find out more. Despite quite an attractive dividends, if it actually incurred operating loss, will think whether to reenter. Good luck everyone.

GOOD COUNTER TO CONSIDER , i bought while is 0.225 , now 0.18 , very cheap , awaiting the gain in years to come , i calculate about three years time , can triple current price , is my expectation .

If you bought at 0.225 and the price goes down to 0.17 and then declared dividend of 0.015 and goes up to 0.18, you still LOSE MONEY!

The Board of Directors of Land & General Berhad ("L&G") is pleased to announce the recommendation of a single-tier final dividend of 1.5 sen in respect of the financial year ended 31 March 2018.

The entitlement date and payment date will be announced at a later date.

The aforesaid final dividend is subject to the approval of the shareholders at the forthcoming 55th Annual General Meeting of L&G.

This announcement is dated 31 May 2018.

At current price, this translate into 7.9% dividend yield. I can see that the buy rate is high, probably some accumulating the stock. After election, there are signs that home buyers interest is picking up, based on observations at sales gallery.

Jon Choivo, r u sure u really that smart that u able to predict sure price will adjust n drop 5 months time in October ? It can be higher or lower than 19 sen in October ! Yes price will adjust if dividend is to be paid within a short time from now but in 5 months time only fool can says whether the price will drop definitely from 19 sen now unless u r god !!!
