12/01/2018 10:41
SenSeng Loh Sg Bagan holds 1.7 million of Great Eastern but paid up capital of Sg Bagan is only 60+ million so it should benefit equal amount from GE impact.
12/01/2018 13:25

speakup in year 2005 many ppl chase up Kuchai, Sbagan & Kluang due to their high NTA, but the companies refused to share their wealth with shareholders. Shareholders pestered the owners but to no avail. So investors lost interest in these 3 companies and their share price dropped way below NTA.
Today we see the same thing happening. History repeats after 12 years. But of course, different players this time.
12/01/2018 15:39
dompeilee As long as CAPITAL "I" makes $, I dun care who is disappointed...I rarely chase any counter so I'm not a victim of these value traps.
12/01/2018 15:51
GreatWarrants SBAGAN the last one to limit up..
Sbagan will move faster eventually :..
Look at NTA RM 10
This stock highly undervalued
12/01/2018 17:24
SenSeng Loh Sg Bagan has a very small paid up capital about 60+millions. Its free float is less than 30m makes it easier to get cornered and played up. Its holding in GE is even slightly higher than that of Kuchai by proportion if based on their pd up capital of 120m+ for kuchai and 60m+ for Sg Bagan. So far no UMA was raised on Kuchai,it looks like both counter will advance further on Monday.
12/01/2018 17:48
Bullcoming Hopefully Monday this company turn limit up x2
12/01/2018 18:19
dompeilee SBagan is the only one of the 3 I didn't sell a single share since '15. Post '05 bonus high is 10+ so lots of room to rise :)
12/01/2018 18:45
Syndicates https://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2018/01/12/kuchai-shares-rise-in-anticipation-of-great-eastern-listing/
12/01/2018 21:25
cefiro22 Yep...The Star reported>>Kuchai is the sixth largest shareholder with 3.03 million shares in Great Eastern Malaysia’s parent company, Great Eastern Holdings Ltd (GEH) that is listed in Singapore.

At the 8th position is S. Bagan with 1,733 million shares, and the "par" value of S.Bagan being RM1/- compared to Kuchai 50 sen par, this should put S.Bagan in the running too!
13/01/2018 19:47
Syndicates people dont do analysis themselves, blindly follow on what the articles tell. the analyst/author has already bought KUCHAI ahead of them before article release. and omitted the fact that SBAGAN has stakes in GEH too. no mention this point at all!

page 211 of the annual report list out the shareholder of GEH:

SBAGAN has 9.44% in KUCHAI, and 0.37% in GEH
KUCHAI has 0.64% in GEH
which in turn, SBAGAN has (0.0944*0.64%)+0.37%=0.43% direct and indirect ownership in GEH.
13/01/2018 23:07
Diamond7 Wah!
SBagan had 0.37% in Great Eastern!
14/01/2018 18:39
Diamond7 Then tmoro....another new high!!! It's good news to me!!!
14/01/2018 18:40
Diamond7 Any cooperate exercise?
14/01/2018 18:41

cheated Toto Jackpot open?
14/01/2018 23:25
TheContrarian Can anyone explain why drop?
15/01/2018 13:43
LA777 Profit taking.
15/01/2018 19:03
SenSeng Loh It drops because of panic selling by weak holders on seeing Kuchai retreating from its peak. With holding 1.7m of GE its coming EPS should be about the same with Kuchai based on paid up capital of 60+m compare with Kuchai 120+m if GE were to declare high dividend. At RM3.65 is still very attractive to hold.
15/01/2018 19:19
cefiro22 I am referring to SBagan comes T3/T4, that I have interest in when the historical volume of 1.013 m. exchanged hands on 12/01/2018 which must be cleared and be with strong holders. Then if the news materialise, we should be in for a windfall. If otherwise, just hold at these low levels for a share that has assets well above prices we pay for. Best of luck!
16/01/2018 09:47
TheContrarian SBagan has RM150 million cash and 1.7 million Great Eastern shares currently at market price of S$30 per share i.e. around RM153 million. Based on issued capital of 66 million shares, these two assets alone translate into RM4.60 per SBagan share. SBagan also holds around 9% of Kuchai.
16/01/2018 18:27
SenSeng Loh Sg Bagan NTA currently is above RM9 and will be moving up in the coming quarter especially by the impact from GE which will last until June. This counter is tightly held by major shareholders and with the paid up capital of 66 million it can be easily cornered and played up by syndicate.
17/01/2018 06:14
SenSeng Loh I accumulate Sg Bagan as it is deeply undervalued.
21/01/2018 07:54
Cnlim This stock is good for those who can hold for long long term n don't need to look at the market everyday
21/01/2018 08:53
Diamond7 I agree!
22/01/2018 13:09
LA777 It's coming!
24/01/2018 10:47
TheContrarian Did a bit of research and discovered that Kluang owns a lot of Kuchai and Sg Bagan. Kuchai also owns a lot of Sg Bagan but very little of Kluang. Sg Bagan owns some Kuchai and Kluang. Hahaha, really messed up.
25/01/2018 19:14
DickyMe "Palm oil is a major industry in Southeast Asia. Indonesia and Malaysia employ 3.5 million people to produce 85 per cent of the world’s palm oil with export values exceeding US$40 billion annually."

3.5 million workers but 99% not Malaysians but foreign workers

"With Southeast Asian economies in the balance – especially Indonesia and Malaysia – the fruit producers must address growing concerns about environmental and employee abuses without losing their competitive edge"

Blatant open burning of plantation fields which causes environment pollution, land grabbing which contributes to homelessness and city squatting. and unemployment, when citizens are shoved aside in favour cheap foreign workers.

Toxic greed have met divine intervention and soon palm plantation will follow the fate of rubber.
29/01/2018 10:14
DickyMe "The latest crisis to face the industry’s reputation came this week as European Union lawmakers on Wednesday agreed to draft measures that seek to phase out the use of palm oil as biofuel by 2021. The move sparked fear in smallholders, who account for about 40 per cent of global palm oil production. Hundreds took to the streets in Kuala Lumpur this week to protest against the EU’s changes, saying the decision threatens their livelihoods."

"...draft measures that seek to phase out the use of palm oil as biofuel by 2021. "
29/01/2018 10:24
TheContrarian So quiet here.
26/02/2018 19:33
SenSeng Loh I use to accumulate Sg Bagan and Insas. I keep them under pillow and waiting for the good days. Both are deeply undervalued counters.
27/02/2018 07:25
TheContrarian Sg Bagan will move up in the next few months due to impact of potential listing of Great Eastern Malaysia.
