KUALA LUMPUR: Former Prime Minister, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN), here, on Wednesday (April 24) after suffering from a small spontaneous pneumothorax.
For now, his condition is reported as stable and he was still being treated at the Coronary Care Unit.
The former Prime Minister's health was confirmed by his family members through a statement on Thursday (April 25).
"Alhamdulillah, he is in good condition, but needs enough rest," said his son-in-law, Khairy Jamaluddin in a statement on social media.
"The family greatly appreciates the prayers and words of encouragement.
"However, the IJN advises that he does not receive visitors for the time being," he explained.
