PETALING JAYA: It is a four-cornered fight for the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election here following the closing of the nomination centre at 10am on Saturday (April 27).
Returning officer Yuhanas Auree Kamaruddin announced that the four candidates had successfully filed their nomination papers.
DAP’s Pang Sock Tao will represent Pakatan Harapan while Khairul Azhari Saut is Perikatan Nasional’s candidate.
Alongside candidates from Pakatan and Perikatan, there are also two independents in the fray.
They are Nyau Ke Xin and Hafizah Zainuddin.
Earlier, another independent candidate Chng Boon Lai also filed for nomination but was disqualified for having incomplete documents.
The by-election is being held following the demise of its incumbent, Lee Kee Hiong from DAP on March 21 due to cancer.
