Mr. Kao, Te-Pei also known as Edward Kao is the Managing Director of the Company and was appointed to the Board on March 10, 2000. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director of the Company on November 26, 2001, he was the Executive Director of the Company. He is also a member of the Remuneration Committee and Employee Share Option Scheme Committee. Mr. Edward Kao is responsible for the Group's overall operation, business development and strategic planning. He joined Uchi Electronic Co. Ltd., Taiwan in 1982 as an Assistant of Administration before joining ITF Corporation in 1984. Mr. Edward Kao re-joined Uchi Electronic Co. Ltd. in 1986 until 1990 when it ceased operations. He then moved to Penang and was appointed as Director of Uchi Electronic (M) Sdn. Bhd., Uchi Optoelectronic (M) Sdn. Bhd. and Uchi Industries (M) Sdn. Bhd.

Mr. Edward Kao is the brother of Mr. Kao, De-Tsan also known as Ted Kao, the Executive Chairman and a major shareholder of the Company. He is the brother-in-law of Madam Kao Wang, Ying-Ying, an Alternate Director of the Company who is the spouse of Mr. Ted Kao.
