Dato’ Lim Thiam Huat (“Dato’ Lim”) has vast experience in managing construction and development projects which spans for more than twenty-eight (28) years. He has carved a niche for himself in the construction and development business by successfully executing and completing projects, from small and simple to large and complex projects. His involvement in the construction of many projects not only in Malaysia and Singapore but also in overseas. The projects undertaken ranges from commercial high-rise office cum shopping complexes, industrial buildings, housing projects hotels / resorts, hospitals to luxurious apartments. Dato’ also possesses the expertise in highway construction. In 2003, Dato’ Lim diversified his business focus to environmental friendly business and entered into a partnership with a Chinese partner to do research into the viability of using Empty Fruit Branches (“EFB”) from palm oil waste to manufacture pulp and paper. In 2008, Dato’ Lim and his partner achieved a major breakthrough and were successful in developing the first of its kind technology to manufacture pulp and paper using EFB waste. In same year, Dato’ Lim and his partner incorporated Green Patent Technologies Sdn. Bhd. (83500-K) (“GPT”) to patent this technology in Malaysia, China, Indonesia and Thailand. This technology is called Pre Conditioning Refiner Chemical Recycled Bleached Mechanised Pulp (“PRC RBMP”). Dato’ Lim is the major shareholder of GPT and is also the Managing Director. At GPT, Dato’ Lim drives the company to continue its research and development to advance the PRC RBMP technology to manufacture higher quality pulp and paper and also to develop other waste technology that are related to palm oil industry into other highly valuable commodities. His nine (9) years’ experience in PRC RBMP technology create a unique management skill and knowhow on expanding the role of Palm Oil Mills into Pulp and Paper Manufacturing Factories. His expertise in PRC RBMP technology also enable him to create multiple business streams that are ‘green’ in nature and transforming old synergistic business to green and sustainable businesses for the preservation of the ecological system.
