The report shows that Apple had a 2.2% jump year-on-year. In addition, the Cupertino giant was the only OEM in the smartphone sector to register positive growth as the global smartphone market took an 8.9% dip.
Why post the report selectively?

CGS-CIMB RESEARCH (MARCH 7): Thong Guan Industries (TGI) is mulling expanding to the US through a joint venture (JV). We are positive on this possible development because the company could make headway in the world’s biggest market for stretch film. TGI received an invitation from its distribution partners in the US to set up a JV to manufacture stretch film in the country’s mid-western region. TGI’s board has given its initial blessing to explore the possibility of setting up the JV, which is intended to cater solely for the US market.

Meets expectations. GDB reported 4QFY21 results with revenue of RM144.8m (+64.1% QoQ, +13.1% YoY) and core PATAMI of RM9.8m (+50.2% QoQ, +14.5% YoY). This brings FY21 core PATAMI to RM31.1m, increasing by 20.9%. The results were within our expectations at 100% of full year forecasts. Note that quarterly earnings are adjusted for RM1.3m of goodwill impairment.

A respectable year, with multiple MCOs, and rising material prices, still able to record +11% net profit.

Patience alone is not enough, you need to understand what's the company is doing, at the same time understand that share price fluctuates and take advantage of it.

Do you need source for this?
TGUAN only need 5mil net profit to match last years profit.
Just use math and logic.
Also, they only need 75mil rev to match last years rev, and 113.7mil to reach 1bil rev this year.
For your info last Q is 296mil rev. and 22.4mil net profit, with 60% capacity.

The growth is not really that exciting and kind of predictable, it's a steady company that pays good dividend. So it's very straight forward and easy for investor to value it. Hence resulted in valuation by the market more or less the same hence chances of price fluctuations is very low.

Prudential ceased as substantial shareholder in August 2021 due to increase in no. of shares. They just want to hold 5% of TGUAN that's all, that's why they add 278.5k units. Why is it so interesting?

CGS-CIMB RESEARCH (NOV 15): We attended Inari Amertron’s virtual 1QFY6/22 post-results briefing, hosted by group CEO KC Lau. We learnt that Inari’s new system-on-module (SOM) assembly division at P55 is on track to begin production in 1QCY22. The SOM division is running a reliability testing process that could take up to 12 weeks before it can start production, but we are encouraged to learn Inari’s new customer is expediting the number of products qualified. We see the SOM division as a new growth driver for Inari to diversify and grow its exposure in the automotive segment. We expect Inari to utilise a portion of placement proceeds for the SOM division expansion from CY22F onwards.
The group is allocating RM100 million in capital expenditure for investment in new technology platforms and capacity expansion and value-added processes such as electromagnetic interference (EMI) shield coating for RF chips. The group recently added two new system-in-package (SiP) lines in October and November, which raised its total SiP assembly to 24 lines. In addition, Inari is also investing US$5.8 million (RM24.4 million) in a new double-sided moulding packaging platform that could be utilised in the next-generation RF chips in 22/23F.

Many people do not understand the business, that's why they have different expectations.
When they heard this company is booming, they become too optimistic and ignore all the hard numbers.
In fact GDB is booming with the 8 Conlay project, and you can actually roughly calculate the growth based on the contract value and period.
Construction is the easiest industries to forecast future profit.
However, large part of the so called investors ignore all these numbers, and decided to listen to the vague statements like 'booming', 'super growth', from the street, and put their own imaginary figures on the so called growth, without using some simple business sense to analyze.
That's why everyone see things differently.

Inari YTD - 2.72 to 4.05, 48.90%

TGUAN might be able to surpass FY2020 performance in 3Q2021, they need at least RM27mil net profit in Q3 to beat FY2020. FYI Q2 net profit was RM25.56mil. Although FMCO restricted the workforce to 60% during Q3, do not forget there were a few new production lines added, and rising ASP and profit margin as seen from Q2. We might get some surprise for this coming QR.
This is just my assumption, by no means is accurate. So do your own research before making any decision.
FYI I'm holding TGUAN at an average price of RM1.46. I bought 1st parcel of TGUAN in 2013, and 2nd parcel in 2021.
Cheers!

Maxpowar...Ang Poon Khim had disposed 489,800 shares from 31 Mar til 13-Sep, approx. 6-months period, averaging 81,633 shares per month.
489,000 shares represents 0.12% of NOSH of TGUAN, and TGUAN average DAILY volume for the past 4 weeks is 1,561,583.
And he still hold around 3.75mil shares of TGUAN.
Ang Poon Khim recent ESOS is 288,000 shares, which is 0.075% of NOSH of TGUAN.
What is your 'too many ESOS' and 'disposing the shares like its trash'?
If you feel other counters are better just sell all TGUAN and buy others. Simple.
No point to feel disappointed because you are the one who made the decision.

FY2020 Rev 155mil, net profit 83m

"The reason why I said the current price of Thong Guan is overvalued because I factored in Bonus Issue in year 2020 and frequent ESOS which will ultimately dilute the value of each share."
You're promoting TGUAN since early March 2021, where the bonus issue already being completed, and your comment about the fair value of TGUAN above RM3.00 during that period is very well documented.
So, your long essay above didn't explain your basis of saying TGUAN is overvalued very much. Furthermore, TGUAN had just released a much better QR which exceed most of our expectation during March 2021. So to say TGUAN is overvalued very much now does not make any sense.
Perhaps you should be better by saying "I prefer RM2.10 to RM2.8 kind of profit, not RM2.8 to RM3.5 kind of profit". This will be better understood instead of writing non related story about your investment success.
It's not about how many times you make profit or how accurate is your prediction. It's your credibility and consistency.
To me, TGUAN might be undervalued now, but definitely not as much as previous time. Buying now definitely will have a higher risk and lower return compared to few months back.
Do I think it will go up more? Sure. But my avg price is very low so my risk is lower compared to others. So all you need to do is understand your risk profile and the profit you're expecting before deciding.
For example: Say TGUAN can go up to RM3.50, buying now at RM2.80 will give you a potential 25% return, say in 6 months. Is this within your expectation? Some might say yes some might not. So TGUAN can be undervalue but not necessarily is a good choice for you as there are many other stocks in the market than might give you a better return. It's up to you to find it and make your decision.
