Petronas Chemicals Group Berhad is a company that have businesses in manufacturing and selling chemicals products. It is the leading integrated chemicals producer in Malaysia and one of the largest in South East Asia. The divisions of the company’s business involved Olefins and Derivatives, and Fertilizers and Methanol. In 2017, Petronas had generated a revenue of RM17.4 billion and also its highest EBITDA since listing of RM6.6 billion in 2017.
Petronas Chemicals Group is embarking on several projects to expand its production capacity. They include the SAMUR project, the Aroma Ingredients Project, 2-EH Acid Project, the HR-PIB project and involvement in the RAPID project at the Pengerang Integrated Complex in Johor. This will see its portfolio of products grow from 29 to 44 by 2020 and will increase its production capacity to 16.0 Million MTPA by 2020.

Other than that, its 2017 ROE have grown significantly to 14.5% compare to previous years of around 10%. Having a ROE of more than 10% for over the past year means it has generated at least RM10 in annual earnings from every RM100 in shareholders’ equity over the last years.
