Covid-19: Enhanced MCO at Top Glove dormitories in Klang extended another 14 days, says Ismail Sabri

PETALING JAYA: The enhanced MCO at Top Glove’s workers' dormitories in Meru, Klang, will be extended by another 14 days, says Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The Defence Minister said the extension will take effect from Tuesday (Dec 1) until Dec 14.

Initially, the dormitories had been placed under an enhanced MCO from Nov 17 to Nov 30.

Ismail said that a total of 5,805 tests had been conducted on workers of the rubber glove manufacturer, with 3,406 testing positive for Covid-19.

He said the risk assessment by the Health Ministry found that there was still a high rate of positive cases in the area.

He added that the negative cases in the Teratai cluster still posed a risk.
