Calvin Tan on ESG : Look at Indonesia: Indonesia recruits farmers, teachers to battle anti-palm oil sentiment

Dear Friends of i3 Forum

You heard lots of concern on ESG regarding palm oil in Malaysia

In stead of defending for Palm oil these IB Bankers (Not all: Good IB Banker like Hong Leong Research very good) in cahoot with Media (Nst Press is ok) are degrading & downgrading Palm Oil

This is really unfounded

These IB Banks have issued too many Palm oil call warrants to bet against palm oil

As such THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED AS THEY HAVE VESTED INTEREST AGAINST PALM OIL

THEY KNOW THAT PALM OIL SERVES OVER A MILLION FELCRA, FELDA & OTHER PALM OIL ESTATES ALL OVER MALAYSIA YET THEY CHOSE TO CONTINUE RELENTLESSLY DOWN GRADE & DEGRADE PALM OIL

DATUK ZURAIDA PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS CONCERTED EVIL SCHEME OF DIRTY IB BANKERS

Discriminating against M'sian palm oil on food labels now an arrestable offence, says Deputy Minister

By MARTIN CARVALHORAHIMY RAHIM

KUALA LUMPUR: An amendment was passed by DEWAN RAKYAT to make it AN ARRESTABLE OFFENSE to "discriminate or boycott" Malaysia Palm Oil, says Datuk Rosol Wahid

SO MALAYSIA SHOULD ALSO PASS LAWS AGAINST ANY PRINTING OR PUBLICATIONS AGAINST OR DISCRIMINATE PALM OIL DUE TO FALSE ESG CONCERN

ESG CONCERN HAS MORE FOR PROTECTION BY THE WEST FOR THE CANOLA/SOYBEAL OIL AGAINST PALM OIL

THEY CANNOT AND COULD NOT COMPETE AGAINST THE SUPERIOR ECONOMY AND QUALITY OF PALM OIL

THEREFORE THEY RESORT TO USE THESE UNDER HANDED MEANS AGAIN PALM OIL

ALL LOYAL MALAYSIANS SHOULD RISE UP AND DEFEND FOR PALM OIL

See What Indonesia is doing

Indonesia recruits farmers, teachers to battle anti-palm oil sentiment

Indonesia is the world's top palm oil producer.
Indonesia is the world's top palm oil producer.

SINGAPORE (REUTERS) - Indonesia's giant palm oil industry, long a target of global green groups, is shoring up its defences closer to home as it tries to counter growing anti-palm oil sentiment among a more environmentally conscious generation of young Indonesians.

Indonesia, the world's top palm oil producer, is training farmers and teachers and running social media campaigns to highlight the "positive aspects" of the US$50 billion (S$67 billion) industry.

"We must tell the world about the benefits of palm oil," Mr Achmad Maulizal, the corporate division head of BPDP, a government body in charge of collecting export taxes, told a media training workshop for farmers in Kalimantan via Zoom.

Palm oil, which is found in many consumer products from potato crisps to soap, has been linked by environmentalists to land clearance, habitat destruction and forest fires.

Indonesia has the world's third biggest rainforest area, vast wildernesses seen as crucial to limiting the effects of climate change, and home to vulnerable species including orangutans, tigers and rhinoceros.

At least 1.6 million hectares of forest and other land were burned in 2019 and losses were estimated at US$5.2 billion as a choking haze blanketed Indonesia and neighbouring countries.

(above extracted from NST Singapore)

Calvin find it very strange

In Indonesia. In Thailand. In Ghana. In Singapore. In Nigeria.

In every other country where palm oil is grown (Except in Malaysia)

ALL PEOPLES, MEDIA & BANKING INSTITUTIONS OR STOCK MARKET ANAYLST WORLD WIDE

THEY ALL SPEAK IN UNISON FOR PALM OIL

ONLY IN MALAYSIA THEY SPEAK AGAINST PALM OIL

SO MAY THE RULING GOVERNMENT OF MALAYSIA RISE UP TO THE OCCASSION IN DEFENSE OF PALM OIL

Warm regards
