He has wide experience on corporate and advisory services. He embarked on his professional training with then Messrs Hew & Tan, a firm of Chartered Accountants in 1992 and left the firm in 1996. Thereafter, he began his career in the Corporate Finance Division of then Permata Merchant Bank Berhad. During his tenure with the bank, he was also exposed to the activities of the Accounts & Administration Division, Privatisation & Project Finance Division and Corporate Banking Division. He left the bank and embarked on his own business ventures in 2001.
