Mr Foo San Kan was the Country Managing Partner of Ernst & Young Malaysia from 1997 to 2002 before he retired as a practicing accountant. He has 34 years of experience in the accounting profession, the first 4 years in the UK and the last 30 years of which were spent in various positions in Ernst & Young including stints in East and West Malaysia. During the course of his career, he was involved in various industrial sectors including financial services, energy, manufacturing, plantations, property development, constructions, leisure and mining. His professional experience covers almost all aspects of the accounting profession, including but not limited to audit, receivership, liquidation, trusts, taxation, management consultancy, corporate advisory and other corporate services and all services related to the Labuan Offshore Financial Services Authority (LOFSA).
