He graduated from University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Economics and from Syracuse University with a Master of Business Administration.
Working Experience
He began his career as an Assistant Secretary of the State Planning Unit in 1973 and worked his way up to become Deputy Chairman of Sarawak Economic Development Corporation in 1981. In 1987, he was the Deputy State Financial Secretary, Sarawak. In 1990, he held the post as the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Infrastructure Development.
In 1993, he worked with the State Secretary Office as Senior Administrative Officer (Special Function). He resumed his current position in 2000 as the State Secretary of Sarawak.
