He was appointed as an Executive Director on the Board of Malayan Cement
Berhad ("MCB")in April 2000 following the acquisition of the APMC Group by MCB
and later became a Non-Executive Director upon his retirement after 36 years of
service with the Group. His directorship was redesignated as Independent
Non-Executive Director on 1 December 2002.
