Encik Sahibudeen has fourteen (14) years of experience in banking and stock-broking business. He started his banking career in Ban Hin Lee Bank Berhad and Bank Bumiputra Malaysia Berhad in 1978 and 1979 respectively. In Ban Hin Lee Bank Berhad, he had an initial exposure in domestic retail banking before he was recruited by Bank Bumiputra Malaysia Berhad to serve in its International Banking operations. He served in International Banking Division for six (6) years.

In 1985, he was posted to the Credit Control Division and served there for five (5) years as Head of Inspection & Credit Investigation Unit and Assistant Manager of Loan Inspection and Collection Department. In 1990, he was posted as the Credit Controller of BBMB Securities Sdn. Bhd. and to be part of its Management Team in running the day-to-day operations of the stock-broking firm.

In January 1992, he ventured to do his own business in property-related activities, initially serving as the Executive Director in Era Mewah Group of Companies. Currently, he sits on the Board of Directors of a few private limited companies and provides consultancy services in the management and administration of ASEAN Business Forum, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion and development of business and investment opportunities amongst the business community in the ASEAN region.
