Working Experience
Mr. Mak Hon Weng first qualified as an Accountant from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK (ACCA) in 1975 and admitted as a Fellow of the accounting body (FCCA) in 1984. Beside being a Fellow of ACCA, he is also an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (AICSA) since 1981. He was also admitted as a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) in the same year.
Mr. Mak has more than 35 years of experience in senior managerial position, mostly in the banking industry. He had served with the Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Bhd (MIDF), OCBC, Public Bank Bhd and lastly with Alliance Bank Malaysia Bhd as its Senior Vice President of its Corporate and Commercial Banking, specializing in project financing for the real estate and contract sector.
