End 1975 : Resigned from all positions and started his private practice, Messrs. Mutalib, Sundra & Low which was later, renamed as Mutalib, Wan & Co. Currently he is a Senior Partner in the firm which acts as panel lawyer to financial institutions, public listed companies, government agencies and various others companies
1980 -1990 : Appointed as Company Secretary of Yayasan Bumiputra Pulau Pinang Berhad, under the purview of Ketua Perhubungan UMNO, Pulau Pinang
