Working Experience
Mr James Menezes, a qualified CPA and Chartered Accountant spent 25 years with Ernst & Young of which he was a partner for 13 years. He was the Managing Partner of the Kuala Lumpur Office of Ernst & Whinney (now known as Ernst & Young) for 5 years before he retired from the firm on 30 June 1990. He was also a partner of Ernst & Young, Hong Kong, Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia. Mr James Menezes represented those offices in Ernst & Young's international Technical Committee for 5 years and was also the Chairman of the Far East Technical & Training Committee. During his term of office there, he undertook quality control assignments at Ernst & Young's offices in other parts of the world.

On his retirement from Ernst & Young in 1990, he set up a company under the name of JA Menezes & Associates Sdn Bhd. This Company was dissolved in 2001 when he fully retired from practice.

During the 10 years from 1990 to 2000, Mr James Menezes held board positions in private and public listed companies in the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia. He is presently a director of Sphere Corporation Sdn Bhd and an active council member and Treasurer, on a voluntary basis, of Hospis Malaysia, a non-governmental organisation limited by guarantee.
