1986 to 1990 - Political Secretary of Menteri Besar in the State Government of Kelantan
1995 to 1999 - Kelantan State Assemblyman for Kemahang

He is actively involved in the social and community services. He also sits on the Board of Lembaga Kemajuan Kelantan Selatan (KESEDAR).
