He started his career as the head of Accounts Department of Kheng Hwa Paper Products Sdn Bhd and joined Denko-HLB Sdn Bhd in 1993 as an Accountant and promoted to Finance and Administration Manager in 1997 and responsible for finance, accounting, administrative and IT functions. He was the Chairman of the management committee which oversees the operations and management in early 2000. He was also the lead internal quality auditor and conducts internal training and development programmes for employees. He was appointed the Group Chief Executive Officer on 1 June 2000.
