Dr. Junid Bin Abu Saham ("Dr. Junid") is a Colombo Plan Scholar who graduated with a Bachelor and Master's degree in Economics from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand in year 1963 and 1965 respectivly. Dr. Junid later read Economics at the University of Hull, United Kingdom in year 1974 where he graduated with Ph.D. under the Inter-British Universities Scholarship.
Working Experience
Dr. Junid worked in a firm of Chartered Accountants in London and in Sydney. In year 1975, he worked as an Investment Manager with Bank Rakyat. Form year 1976 to year 1992, he worked as General Manager with Arab-Malaysian Merchant Bank Berhad (now renamed as AmInvestment Bank Berhad).
