Details of his working experience served in the Royal Malaysian Police Force are as follows :-

March 1966 - March 1967
- Posted to the State of Kelantan as an Investigation Officer in the district of Kota Bharu.

March 1967 - September 1971
- Transferred to the state of Johore and was obsorbed into the Special Branch, where he was exposed to the duties pertaining to security intelligence.

September 1971 - August 1981
-Transferred to the state of Negeri Sembilan and was responsible for the following tasks :

i) Security Intelligence; and
ii) Technical Intelligence.

Sometime in October 1971 subject was deployed to Sarawak where he participated in operations conducted by the Special Branch against the activities of the Sarawak Communist Party under an operation code name "OPS NGAYAU" in the district of Sibu and Sarikie.

August 1981 - August 1986
- Transferred to the State of Sabah and was responsible for Technical Intelligence Operations.

August 1986 - August 1996
- Transferred back to Police Headquarters Bukit Aman and served in the Technical Specialist Division in the Special Branch.

August 1996 - October 1999
- Second posting to the State of Sabah as the head of Special Branch, Sabah responsible for the command and control of the Special Branch activities in Sabah.

October 1999 - January 2002
- Transferred back to Police Headquarters Bukit Aman and was promoted as the Assistant Director of Political Intelligence, Special Branch responsible for monitoring Political development as well as activities of the defunk Communist Party of Malaya.

January 2002 - February 2003
- Promoted as Deputy Director (II) of the Malaysian Special Branch.
