He has a wide working experience in the finance services industry and has served in various senior capacities. He joined Public Bank Berhad in 1977 and rose from rank and file to serve as the branch manager in several locations in the Klang Valley. He subsequently became the Regional Head in charge of credit administration and supervision, overseeing some 13 bank branches within the Public Bank Group. After his retirement from Public Bank in 2011, he joined Hong Leong Bank Berhad as a branch manager on a contractual basis until 2013.
