Encik Khairul Azwan Harun holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Cardiff University of Wales, United Kingdom. He also holds a Master Degree in Strategic Management from Open University Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. In 2014, he obtained the Executive Certificate in Leadership from Harvard Kennedy School of Government, USA.

Encik Khairul Azwan Harun started his career in 1999 with Ernst & Young, Chartered Accountants at Kuala Lumpur Office and held senior positions in Business assurance and Management Consulting divisions. During his years of practice, he had focused on the areas of auditing and corporate recovery. In 2004 he joined Perak State Government and was appointed as CEO of Yayasan Bina Upaya Darul Ridzuan, a state charity foundation in 2010. He is an adjunct Lecturer of Management and Leadership at Universiti Technology Petronas. Encik Khairul Azwan Harun is currently the Chairman of Chulia Group of Companies.
