Dato' Hj Mohammad Mokhtar holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Phoenix International University, New Zealand and a Diploma in Police Science from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
Working Experience
Dato' Hj Mohammad Mokhtar retired as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in 2006 after having served the Malaysian Royal Police for more than 38 years. During his tenure in the police force, he was instrumental in leading large scale crime prevention operations throughout the country within the various positions he held which included Deputy Director, Criminal Investigation Department, Officer in-charge of Police District and Commanding Officer of the Police Field Force and many more. Consequently, he was honoured with numerous commendations and awards for outstanding leadership and general management, amongst others. His last position was as the Sabah State Commissioner of Police. He brings with him a wealth of experience in law enforcement, disaster and crisis management as well as staff management.
