During his tenure in Pernec, he held various positions, amongst them, General Manager, Group General Manager and Chief Executive Officer. In 1992, he resigned from Pernec and joined Alcatel Malaysia in 1992 as Deputy Managing Director. In 1994, he was promoted to Managing Director and Country Senior Officer. He then retired from Alcatel Malaysia Sdn Bhd in 2002 to venture into his own business.
