He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) degree from University of Malaya in 1976. He graduated with Distinction in Executive MBA programme conducted by the University of Bath, United Kingdom in collaboration with the Malaysian Institute of Management in 1990.
Working Experience
Over a distinguished career spanning 31 years in the semiconductor industry, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, manufacturing, quality management, operations management and as chief executive. As Managing Director of Motorola Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. from July, 1997 to February, 2003, he steered the company to become Motorola's largest microchip packaging and testing operations. From April, 2003 to March, 2007, as Managing Director of STATS ChipPAC Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., he was instrumental in transforming it to become a world-class outsourced microchip packaging and testing service provider.

He served on the Board of Governors of American Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (AMCHAM) from June, 2002 to May, 2005. Currently, he serves as Vice-Chairman of Selangor Human Resources Development Centre.
