Working Experience
Tan Sri has had an extensive career in finance and banking, having worked in various capacity with Pernas Securities, Permodalan Nasional Berhad and Malayan Banking Berhad. He served as the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Malayan Banking Berhad from January 1991 to 1994. In May 1994, Tan Sri was appointed as the Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia until August 1998. He is presently a Director of Messrs Sekhar & Tan, a public accountancy firm in Kuala Lumpur.
