During his 30 years of service with the government, he has held the posts of Assistant State Secretary of Selangor, Assistant Secretary of the Public Service Commission, Assistant Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Prime Minister's Department, Director of Institut Tadbiran Awam Negara, Director of Asia Pacific Development Centre and as Deputy Director-General of the Public Services Department
