1) In 1977 he started his career as Assistant External Trainee Felda at Sekolah Latihan Felda Bukit Mendi, Triang, Pahang, Felda Kemansul, Karak, Felda Jengka 7 & Jengka 16 at Bandar Pusat Jengka Pahang;

2) In 1987, he was Principal of Pusat Pendidikan Yayasan Islam, Bukit Payong, Marang, Terengganu;

3) In 1988, he was appointed as Assistant District Officer, Marang District Office;

4) In 1991, he was transferred to Assistant Secretary to the Government (Local Gevernment, Housing and Small Businesses);

5) In 1998, he was further transferred to Penolong Pegawai Daerah I, Pejabat Daerah Setiu;

6) He was transferred to Assistant Secretary to the Government (Local Government and Environment) and Assistant Secretary to the Government (Post) in 2000;

7) He was the Chief Assistant Secretary to the Government (Local Government) in 2005 and Confidential Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister in 2008;

8) He was the Deputy Secretary to the Government of Terengganu in 2010;

9) He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Terengganu Incorporated Sdn Bhd (since 2013).
