D.W. Berry joined Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad as Group Chief Executive Officer on 1 January 2002, a position he held until the expiry of his contract on 31 December 2004. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial services/advisory sector. D.W. Berry was formerly the Managing Director of Affin Fund Management Sdn Bhd and Chairman of Affin Trust Management Berhad. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of Mekar Idaman Sdn Bhd for a year. His experience in financial services includes 11 years with Standard Chartered Group worldwide, during which he served as the General Manager/Chief Executive of Chartered Merchant Bankers Malaysia Bhd (now Affin Merchant Bank Bhd) from 1980 to 1983.
