Tan Sri Abdul Rashid bin Abdul Manaf ("Tan Sri Abdul Rashid") is a full-time businessman. Before venturing into business, he was a senior partner in a legal firm in Kuala Lumpur until his retirement in August 2006. In 1970, Tan Sri Abdul Rashid qualified as a Barrister-at-Law. He joined the Malaysian judicial and legal service in 1971 and became a Magistrate until 1973. He was later made the President of the Sessions Court in Klang. In 1975, Tan Sri Abdul Rashid became the Senior Federal Counsel for the Income Tax Department. He left government service in 1977. Tan Sri Abdul Rashid was the Chairman of the Board of S P Setia Berhad from 1997 until 2012.
