Working Experience
Dato' Richard Alexander John Curtis ("Dato' Curtis") began his career in legal practice as a solicitor in Norton Rose (1974-1979) in London and then joined Jardine Matheson & Co. (1979-1983) in Hong Kong after which he joined the Jardine Offshore Group (1983-1986) in postings to Singapore and Indonesia. Dato' Curtis also pursued his own businesses (1988-1997) in retail, consultancy and construction. He was Chief Executive Officer of The Melium Group (1997-2000), a leading Malaysian retail company and F&B chain operator. Dato' Curtis joined Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad as Group Managing Director on 4 September 2006 and will be retiring on 31 December 2017.
