Tun Mohammed Hanif bin Omar ("Tun Hanif") holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Malaya, Singapore, Bachelor of Law (Honours) from University of Buckingham and the Certificate of Legal Practice (Honours) from the Legal Qualifying Board.
Working Experience
Tun Hanif was the Inspector-General of The Royal Malaysian Police for 20 years before retiring in January 1994, having joined as an officer in 1959.

He is also the Deputy Chairman of Genting Malaysia Berhad and sits on the Boards of AMFB Holdings Berhad and Measat Global Berhad.

He was a member of the 2004 Royal Commission for the Enhancement of the Operations and Management of The Royal Malaysian Police. He is the President of the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) and a member of the Malaysian Equine Council. He is the Chairman of the Yayasan Tun Razak and a member of the Boards of Trustees of the Malaysian Liver Foundation, Yayasan DayaDiri, The MCKK Foundation and The Community Chest, Malaysia.

He is also a holder of the rights to participate in the performance shares of GENM's Long Term Incentive Plan ("Scheme") for 171,800 scheme shares and 357,090 scheme shares granted under Restricted Share Plan and Performance Share Plan respectively of the Scheme.
