Working Experience
Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop began his career with the Bank Negara Malaysia from 1968 to 1994. In 1994, he joined the private sector before moving back to the Bank Negara Malaysia in 1998. He was the Advisor of Bank Negara Malaysia in 1998 before assuming his position as Special (Economic) Advisor to the Prime Minister from 2000 to 2004. He was recently appointed as the Finance Minister II with effect from 7 January, 2004.
