In 1980, he joined the Hong Leong Group of Singapore as manager of Balken Piling and has held various positions in Building Materials companies within the Group since then.
Presently he is Chief Operating Officer of the Building Materials Business Unit of Hong Leong Asia Ltd. Mr Jeyasingam is also President Director of P.T. Karimun Granite, Indonesia. He is also responsible for cement and pre-cast concrete operations of Hong Leong Asia Ltd.
