She has more than 25 years' experience in banking and finance, covering the full spectrum of services which includes consumer, commercial and corporate banking, as well as the non-banking fucntions which include policy and control, human resources, corporate planning and finance.

She started as a Management Trainee with Bank of Commerce Berhad (now known as CIMB Bank Berhad) in 1979. During her career with the Bank, she played key roles in the three mergers of the Bank i.e. with United Asian Bank in 1981 (responsible for change management), with Bank Bumiputra in 1998 (where she headed the Merger Integration Team overseeing the integration of the two banks) and with CIMB Bank (headed the project to conduct the Strategic Business Review).

Her last appointment at the Bank was as the Senior Executive Vice-President heading the Banking Unit, responsible for the strategic businesses of Retail Banking, Business Banking, Corporate Banking, Treasury and International Banking.

Puan Rosnah is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of CIMB Foundation.
