Dato' Idrose bin Mohamed ("Dato Idrose") started his career with the Public Works Department in 1978. In January 1983, he joined Malaysian Highway Authority ("MHA") as a Civil Engineer and then served in various positions and was involved in the development of expressways. Dato' Idrose was appointed MHA's Northern Regional Director in November 1991, a position he held prior to leaving the Government service to join United Engineers (Malaysia) Berhad as Head of Engineering & Operations for the North-South Expressway Central Link project in August 1994. Dato' Idrose became the Managing Director of Projek Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan Berhad on 1 July 1999. On 21 February 2002, Dato' Idrose was appointed Director of PLUS Expressways Berhad ("PEB") and thereafter was appointed Managing Director of PEB on 12 February 2002. Dato' Idrose was appointed on the Board of Pos Malaysia & Services Holdings Berhad on 1 April 2007 and Pos Malaysia Berhad on 18 April 2007.
