He was the Managing Director of Malaysian Sheet Glass Sdn Bhd until 31 March 2010. He also serves on the Board of a number of private and government-linked corporations. Earlier, Datuk Low had served as a Board member of the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA) and the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER)
