Working Experience
She is currently the Pro-Chancellor of the University of Malaya, a position she has held since February 2003. Prior to that she was a Council Member of the University, following which she was the Chairman of the University Hospital from 1987 to 1996.

She also serves in several other organisations, which include the Chairman of the Yayasan Institute Jantung Negara (the National Heart Institution), Chairman of The New Straits Times Press Charity Fund, member of the Board of Trustees of The Women's Aid Organisation (WAO), the National Council of Women’s Organisations, and founding Trustee of the Cancer Research Initiatives Foundation (CARIF), Patron of Cancerlink since 1990, Arthritis Foundation of Malaysia and the Mental Health Association of Malaysia.
