Graduated from South Bank Polytechnic, UK and Emile Woolf School of Accountancy, London, UK. Member and Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Council Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and Asean Federation of Accountants (AFA).

YB Datuk was a Management Executive in IGB Corporation Berhad in 1990. Thereafter in 1991, he assumed a Manager post in LKN Ltd, Equatorial Hotel (M) Sdn Bhd. In 1994, YB Datuk was appointed as a Financial Controller by Usahasama Proton-DRB Sdn Bhd. Currently, YB Datuk is a Director of United Malayan Land Berhad.

YB Datuk is also active in politics, being an EXCO Member of the UMNO Youth since 1996. Currently, he is Chairman of Barisan Nasional for Pulai, Johor and a Member of Parliament for Pulai Constituency, Johor.
