Tan Sri Dato’ Ir Muhammad Radzi Hj Mansor was appointed Chairman and Director of TM on 12 July 1999. He served in various engineering and management capacities in the former Jabatan Telekom Malaysia (JTM) over a 22-year period, including a three-year secondment as Technical Adviser to the Ministry of Energy, Telecommunications and Post. Tan Sri Radzi retired as Director-General of Telecommunications upon JTM’s corporatisation on 1 January 1987, and was subsequently appointed as Director of Operations at TM. He served as Director of Marketing and Customer Services from 1989 to 1995 and later as Director of Regulatory Management and External Affairs before retiring in July 1996. From 1997 to 1999, he was retained as a Consultant/Advisor on multimedia flagship application projects for the Multimedia Development Corporation Sdn Bhd.
