Dr Farid is currently the Head of Telecommunications, Investments in Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah), a position he recently held after re-joining Khazanah in 2018. Prior to that Dr Farid served as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of UEM Group Berhad (UEM) between 2017 to 2018 and also as CSO in TM for more than 4 years until 2017. Between 2004 and 2012, Dr Farid was in Khazanah as Director in Investments Division, specialising in the telecommunications sector, as a Senior Vice President in Transformation Management Office and Special Officer to the Managing Directors Office. Prior to that Dr Farid was a consultant at McKinsey & Company for two years before joining Khazanah in 2004.
