Working Experience
Tunku Dato' Ya'acob started his career as an Auditor with Price Waterhouse, London from 1982 to 1985 and subsequently joined Price Waterhouse Kuala Lumpur from 1986 to 1987. He joined Malaysian Assurance Alliance Berhad in 1987 and retired as its Chief Executive Officer in 1999. Subsequently, he resigned as Director of Malaysian Assurance Alliance Berhad in December 2007. He currently holds the position of Deputy Chairman of MAA Holdings Bhd and Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Melewar Industrial Group Berhad.

Tunku Dato’ Ya’acob sits on the executive board of several trade associations, specifically, the Federation of Public Listed Companies (FPLC) as Vice President and the Federation of Malaysia Unit Trust Managers (FMUTM) as Chairman.

He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for MAA Medicare Kidney Charity Fund and The Budimas Charitable Foundation.
