Dato' Muthanna Bin Abdullah ("Dato' Muthanna") currently serves as an independent member of several boards of companies. 

Dato' Muthanna began his career as a lawyer at Skrine & Co. He then became Partner at Abdullah A. Rahman & Co. before becoming Managing Partner at Lee Hishammudin Allen & Gledhill. Dato' Muthanna then became Managing Partner at Abdullah Chan & Co. before he assumed the role of Consultant at Abdullah Chan & Co., a role he continues to hold at present. 

Professionally, Dato' Muthanna has frequently advised companies on local and international cross-border acquisitions and investments including corporate restructurings required to transform businesses. In this capacity, he has also had to advise boards to ensure that their decisions are well-informed.

Dato' Muthanna has the experience of overseeing the transformation plans of companies through changes in board composition and senior management in his role as Chairman or Member of the Nomination and Remuneration committees of boards of companies.

Having also previously served on boards of 2 international chambers - the British and the Swiss - and also in his role as Avocat Au Confiance to the Swiss Embassy, Dato' Muthanna is familiar with the needs of foreign companies and investors in Malaysia.

As Honorary Consul of The Republic of San Marino to Malaysia, Dato' Muthanna also has experience understanding relationships between foreign governments and dealing where necessary with governments, their ministries and agencies.
