Mr Kelvin Desmond Malayapillay has over 20 years of experience across financial services and consulting. Having started his career at Shell in Malaysia, he left to pursue MBA at the London Business School from 1997 to 1999. He subsequently worked for the Boston Consulting Group in London before moving on to Capital One Bank, where he held roles in credit risk management and in managing the personal loan portfolio. Thereafter, he joined Booz & Co, where he served clients in the United Kingdom and the Middle East. In 2009, Mr Kelvin joined the composite insurance firm, Liverpool Victoria, where he held a number of senior roles including Director of the Direct Life business, and Group Strategy Director. In 2016, he joined Lloyds Banking Group as the Strategy Director for the retail bank. 

Since late 2018, Mr Kelvin has been developing a portfolio career, which has seen him supporting various corporate clients in consumer financial services and insurance as an independent strategy advisor while also advising and investing in a number of fintech startups. He also works as an executive coach and has recently completed the Professional Certificate in Coaching from Henley Business School.
